ASSOCIATION OF SASKATCHEWAN URBAN PARKS AND CONSERVATION AGENCIES

The Association of Saskatchewan Urban Parks and Conservation Agencies (ASUPCA) is a non-profit and voluntary organization dedicated to sustaining the betterment of Saskatchewan's seven conservation and urban parks situated on Treaty Four and Six Territories. The Association of Saskatchewan Urban Parks and Conservation Agencies started as a cooperative effort among representatives of urban parks to promote conservation and recreation throughout the province. ASUPCA is able to provide programming to the residents of Saskatchewan thanks to funding from SASK LOTTERIES and assistance from the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA).

Land Acknowledgement

ASUPCA’s member agencies are situated on Treaty 4 and 6 Territories, the traditional and ancestral territory of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Blackfoot, Dene, and Nakota Sioux, and is the homeland of the Métis.

Our urban park and conservation agencies strive to work in consultation  alongside our indigenous population, as these lands continue to be the shared Territory of many diverse people in Saskatchewan.

ASUPCA respects and honours the Treaties, reaffirms our relationships with one another, and strives to move forward together in the spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration.

We are all Treaty people.
